Overhauling creative and communications for a blue-chip retailer
Talent Atelier were enlisted by the CMO of a bluechip value retailer to install a new brand and creative communications division to reposition the business as an aspirational lifestyle retailer. With a key focus on digital engagement this team were to spearhead growth and attract new customers through creative campaigns, talent strategies and arresting creative direction.
With the CMO wanting to bring on board a crack team of people with a background in spearheading 360 luxury and commercial campaigns and content, our work was cut out for us. We needed to find people who were not only willing to potentially shift out of their comfort zone when it came to the brand, but also be happy to commute several times a week to the Head Office which was based 2 hours outside of London.
Utilising our existing network of talent before delving deeper, we were able to have heartfelt conversations with people about the role and the real story behind the overhaul of the brand. It meant that rather than just talking to people about the jobs, we were able to really paint a picture of what the collective plan for the business was and how they could be a part of it.
Once we had spoken to the talent we knew we were then able to trigger a wider, international search for each role to ensure that our client felt they had really covered all their bases when it came to moving forward with building their team.
With an intensely quick 3-stage interview process which was held across the UK, we guided the candidates through the process and advised the client on the best package set up in order to hire the people they wanted but with a view there was future scope for growth.
The talent placed has increased the digital sales of our client in the space of a year by 24.7% and have implemented television, above the line and print based campaigns which have won critical acclaim and awards.
